Aerial Inspection

We employ unmanned aerial vehicles in aerial inspection. The high-resolution image is transmitted to the team on the ground without any delay; then it may be streamed to other sites. During the flight the sensor setup and position and the drone flight parameters may be adjusted as per the client's requirements, which makes the inspection highly operative and fast. This method is used where a direct inspection by a person is unnecessarily costly, hazardous or impossible.

Our services

Drone inspection

Letecká inspekce větrné elektrárny s dronem DJI M600PRO

For inspection flights, we use several types of unmanned drones with different size and flight parameters. Combined with a wide selection of optical sensors and measuring devices, it allows us to choose the optimal technical equipment for each type of inspection. We also perform the integration of nonstandard measuring devices delivered by the customer.

Image processing

Zpracování dat z letecké inspekce do podoby intuitivně použitelných výsledků

The inspection is not finished when the flight is over - what is crucial is the processing of the raw data into a form of usable results. The camera collects a full range of data which provide a number of possibilities during the subsequent analysis of images. We can also use photogrammetric methods to process the thermograph into the form of an orthophotomap or a 3D model.

Data online

JamCopters SkyView - online nástroj pro vizualizaci a analýzu dat z letecké inspekce

Another advantage of our solution is the processing of collected data and a possibility for our clients to view and inspect them using our SkyView online user interface. After logging in, clients can view the inspection results from anywhere using their devices, without having to download the entire data package. No specialized software is needed to perform the basic analysis. The browser interactively shows individual spectral components and index maps and allows measuring of lengths and areas, including GPS localization.

Advantages of Drone-Based Inspection

  • Fast inspection - Lower time consumption as compared to typical manual imaging and fast travel between stations.
  • Possible use - Inspection of areas which are dangerous for humans or which are otherwise inaccessible.
  • Operative inspection - Fast preparation and conduct of the flight, direct data transmission to a ground-based station and other streaming. Both flight and sensor parameters can be changed during the flight based on the customer's requirements.
  • Flight modes - The manual flight mode makes it possible to immediately respond to changed inspection conditions as well as to the customer's instructions. The automatic mode ensures an accurate flight along a defined route with the possibility to periodically repeat the inspection using identical parameters.
  • Availability - Lower costs as compared to aerial inspection by a manned aircraft.

Typical Aerial Inspection Areas

  • High-rise structures - factory smokestacks, broadcast transmitters, BTS, high-rise buildings
  • Wind turbines - Inspection for damaged blades, inspection of delamination
  • High-voltage lines - inspection of the condition of insulators, corrosion, joining material
  • Construction industry - inspection of roofs, bridge structures, surface erosion of hydroelectric power plant dams
  • Monitoring - safety incidents, natural disasters, SAR operations
